Motorcycle Preview: 2012 Aprilia Shiver 750GT

The 2012 Aprilia Shiver 750GT ABS is more than familiar as this street bike is completing the Shiver 750 line-up. The difference between these two street invaders is sportier than the “ordinary” Shiver 750 ABS. The word “GT” refers to the fact that the 2012 Shiver 750GT ABS offers the dynamic quality and technological features in order to satisfy the demanding motorcycle addict and speed junkies.

Aprilia designs the 2012 Shiver 750GT ABS to have the tank-saddle-short tail that all blends in one compact styling. This way, once the rider on top of the bike, he becomes the integral part of the bike and perfectly fitted.

When it comes to chassis, the Italia motorcycle maker constructs it from the modular-type frame of steel frame and aluminum plates. The position offers spacious space to fit the exhaust system that located under the saddle for linear performance and maximum engine performance.

The maximum power comes from the 90-degree V-Twin engine that equips with 4 valves for every cylinder with DOHC and liquid-cooling system. Just like any other Aprilia street bike models, the 2012 Shiver 750GT ABS also has Ride-by-Wire technology.

This tech responsible for the electronic throttle control of 3 mapping systems – Rain, Touring, and Sport. The sophisticated injectors as the electronic injection system and six-speed transmission are completing the performance system.
