2015 Triumph Street Triple RX — Naked Daytonafied

 

Building a special edition machine for INTERMOT, the British have debuted the 2015 Triumph Street Triple RX, which is based off the Triumph Street Triple R. Borrowing from the Triumph Daytona 675 however, the Triumph Street Triple RX takes many styling points from its supersport cousin, namely the Daytona’s tail section.

Also coming in a matte silver with red accents, the Street Triple RX is channeling heavily on the Daytona, and even has a quickshifter to mimic the Dayton’s sport appeal. At the heart of the machine though is the same 675cc three-cylinder engine, that pumps out 106hp.

2015 Harley Davidson Street 750 and 500

Harley-Davidson revealed the all new Street 750 and 500 motorcycles in Milan, Italy last year. The unveiling was held during EICMA, one of the biggest motorcycle exhibitions in the world. This was the first time in its 110 year history that H-D participated in the exhibition and they did not disappoint.

The all new Street 750 and 500 evoke the old school c ool of a 1970's XLCR with its narrow stance and cafe' racer inspired speed screen. The cultural attitude of Dark Custom is all over this urban brawler, and at the heart of the H-D Street you will find a VROD inspired 60 degree liquid cooled vtwin engine.

The Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide is a limited-production version of the popular Harley-Davidson hot-rod bagger. Powered by the largest-displacement V-Twin engine offered by Harley-Davidson, this potent touring bike is loaded with sparkling chrome, electrifying paint and fresh custom-styling ideas.

Production will be limited to approximately 3,700 units assembled at the Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations facility in York, Pa. The CVO Street Glide is built on the innovative Touring chassis, based on a single-spar, rigid backbone frame and a stout swingarm developed to withstand the demands of long-haul touring riders and today's more-powerful engines.

The Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide is priced at US$32,499, and is seen here in Black Diamond and Inferno Orange. Features include a 19 inch, 7-spoke Agitator front wheel and floating brake rotors with chrome center web.

 

Triumph Review: 2013 Triumph Street Triple

The 2013 Triumph Street Triple and Street Triple R were revealed in Cologne, Germany last year. The 2013 motorcycles have been completely redesigned and are described below.

Triumph’s Street Triple has been one of the success stories of recent years, collecting numerous accolades along the way and being recognized for delivering class-leading dynamics alongside an unforgettable riding experience. Fusing the style and attitude of the Speed Triple with the agility of the Daytona 675, and delivering it all for a very competitive price, it wowed the industry when it arrived in 2007.

For 2013, the Street Triple has been completely redesigned to offer an even more exhilarating ride. Heralding the change is an all-new chassis. An aluminum beam twin-spar frame meets a new two-piece high-pressure die-cast rear subframe. Not only is the chassis robust and hard-edged, it’s also advanced. Engineered to optimise dynamism, agility and rider enjoyment, the design is lighter thanks to fewer pieces and fewer welds in the frame.

A key component in the Street Triple’s improved handling is the all-new low-mount exhaust. Not only does this provide a sharp new look, but it offers a significant contribution to redistributing the center of gravity and the weight of the exhaust. Its design and optimized mass centralization has also afforded Triumph’s engineers the opportunity to tweak the geometry, reducing the rake to 24.1 degrees and increasing the trail by 0.5mm to 99.6m. As a package, it adds up to razor sharp dynamic handling weighing just 403 pounds, fully fuelled—a substantial 13 pound weight reduction over the outgoing model.

The handling of the Street Triple is complimented by KYB suspension via 41mm upside down forks. Stopping power is provided by a dual 310mm floating disc front brake set up, with Nissin two-piston sliding calipers. Further braking security is provided by the standard ABS, which itself is fully switchable.

The heart of the Street Triple remains the liquid-cooled, 12-valve, 675cc 3-cylinder engine. Combined with the close ratio 6-speed gearbox, the unit delivers 105 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque. The power plant has been tuned for incredibly strong low-to-mid-range performance.

Three metallic color options are available for the 2013 Street Triple: Phantom Black, Crystal White and Caribbean Blue.
