BMW Motorrad Classic Cafe Racer Concept 90 R90S Ninety

The Concept 90 is one of two new vehicles BMW is showing off at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the tony shores of Lake Como in Italy. The original BMW R90S was offered from 40 years ago was one of the fastest motorcycles in that time, with serial semi-armor and successfully resigned himself sporty design and performance with the comfort of the ride.

This year is the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad and the 40th anniversary of the R 90 S (inset) - the first production motorcycle to come with a front fairing - and BMW has worked with custom bike builder Roland Sands Design to craft a homage to the Daytona Orange boxer from the Seventies.

Apart from the basic line Ninety Concept is painted a specific “Daytona” in orange, and the shuttering of handmade aluminum Bodywork and curved tail. Boxer engine that unless air cooled and liquid a special technique were processed valve cover, covers the front of the engine, exhaust system, and alloy wheels.

The bodywork is of hand-worked aluminum, the giant halogen lamp of the 1975 model (which is when Daytona Orange was introduced) has gone LED, and the front engine cover, valve covers, exhaust and wheels have been made with a contrast-cut milling process.

2014 Royal Enfield 535cc Cafe Racer

Royal Enfield 535cc will be a "2014" model, because it is expected to be for sale in the United States so late in 2013 -  not until July or August.

~ Price is expected to be US$7,295.
~ It will have a larger single-cylinder motor — 535cc instead of Royal Enfield's standard 500cc.
~ Power jumps 9 horsepower to a supposed 36hp thanks to displacement, exhaust and tuning differences. (Royal Enfield horses are typically more Shetland than Clydesdale.)
~ It will be 47 pounds lighter than other Royal Enfields, weighing as little as 358 pounds.
~ The sophisticated new frame was designed by the same folks who design Ducatis.
~ It will come with a two-year unlimited warranty.

Accessories will include aluminum fenders instead of plastic; aluminum upper and lower triple trees; a single seat or a dual seat; two sets of exhaust systems; two styles of handlebars; steel, aluminum or plastic gas tanks; and different gear ratios available for use in a potential "spec racing" class.

The most obvious competition for the Cafe Racer is the Triumph Bonneville. That bikes makes 67bhp and 50lb/ft of torque, but weighs 495lbs (wet). Perhaps troublingly for Enfield, it retails for US$7,699 at a comparatively large number of dealers.

The Cafe Racer represents the first all-new design to come from Enfield in 50 years and with looks like these combined with high-quality suspension and brakes, it’s an encouraging sign of a new direction for the brand.

Buell Superbike - 1125CR Cafe Racer

The overall 2009 Buell line-up consists of six models in three distinct lines: street, adventure and sportbike. Models vary by engine configuration and design intent but continue the melting pot culture that has grown to exemplify the  American  ideal.

Consisting of parts manufactured in China, Italy, Germany as well as the US, the global synergy of buyer, builder and supplier has blurred into one complete package in the form of the 1125CR.

Always on the scene, poking our cameras where they belong, this time Fonzie was in the saddle to experience the café racer in action. On the first day of two in Germany we warmed our rubbers on the one-year-old super-smooth pavement of the Spreewaldring testing center just 30 minutes south of Berlin, Germany.

Buell intended the day to be a focused moment on braking, cornering and acceleration as well as how the mapping updates performed on the Helicon engine.

Moto Guzzi NORGE V7 CAFE RACER

2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Special, Stone, and Racer

In announcing the coming of the V7 lineup to the U.S., the marketing guys for the company said they were “incredibly pleased” to have the bikes here, claiming that the latest iterations of the now-iconic 90-degree V-Twin represent craftsmanship, Italian spirit, legendary heritage and technological progress.

The V7 Special is meant to evoke the 1969 special designed by Lino Tonti, a “touring bike with a sophisticated fit and finish and uniquely ‘Guzzi’ engine character.” Colors are white/red metallic or yellow/black metallic and key accessories are a windshield and bags.

The V7 Racer “is an ode to Cafe Racer motorcycles from the ’50s and ’60s with the performance of a modern machine.”

The V7 Racer comes with a chromed fuel tank topped by a leather strap, as well as a suede leather seat “with an aerodynamic seat cowl” and “’70s-style racer number plates.” “All three V7s have the same saddle height of 31.7 inches.
