2014 Kawasaki Z1000 Superbike Review

The 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 has a lot of updates. The design is built on a much higher level, and looks like a real predator, where he highlighted the brutal functionality. This is more powerful and more capable than Streetfighter It is removed all the unnecessary armor to reveal the superior functionality of its parts.

Displacement of 1,043 cc, liquid – cooled, inline – four, four – stroke, four valves per cylinder, DOHC, DFI with four 38mm Keihin throttle bodies, oval sub – throttles. Maximum power of 142 hp at 10,000 rpm and maximum torque 111 Nm at 7 ,300 rpm. Transmission 6 – speed clutch with wet multi – disc, manual, final drive X – ring chain.

Frame is aluminium twin – tube, front suspension 41 mm inverted fork SFF – BP with stepless compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability with 119.38mm wheel travel and rear suspension horizontal monoshock with stepless rebound damping , adjustable spring preload remotely 122mm with wheel travel.

Front tire 120/70 ZR17 rear tire and 190/50 ZR17. Front brake Dual 310mm petal – type rotors with radial – mount 4 – piston monobloc calipers and ABS brake and rear single 250mm petal -type rotor with single – piston caliper and ABS.

The wide, large – diameter aluminium handlebars offer great leverage for aggressive manuvers. Additional functions include an LCD digital speedometer, odometer, dual trip meter, clock, instant and average fuel consumption, coolant temperature and low fuel warning lamps, ABS and ECO indicators.

Maximum power of 155.6 hp at 10,200 rpm and maximum torque of 120 Nm at 8,400 rpm. Electronic injection with three throttle bodies ø53 mm. Transmission with 6 speeds and dry clutch with hydraulic command with slipper device.

The TNT R is a unique Benelli when it comes to the chassis. Frame is decomposable, front steel trestle, rear aluminum alloy casting, front suspension Ø50 mm upside-down fork, with hydraulic rebound, compression and spring preload adjustments and rear suspension steel tube trestle swingarm, rear dumper with hydraulic adjustment (rebound, high and low speed compression) and spring preload assembled with progressive link. 

Wheels is aluminum alloy 17″. Front tire 120/70 and rear tire 190/50. 

Front brake twin floating wave disc Ø320 mm with radial monoblock 4 pistons calipers and rear brake single wave disc ø240 mm with double piston caliper. 

TNT R has truly unique accessories, such as: carbon muffler, handlebar ends in ergal, frame sliders, racing tank filler, carbon single-seat tail, motorbike covers and semi-rigid panniers. New colors in which TNT R are white with red frame, indisputably elegant yet sporty, and racing red with matte gray titanium frame, elegant and undisputably sporty at the same time.

 

2014 KTM RC390 Red Bull Superbike - By Luusama & Masei Helmet

KTM has revealed its all new 2014 RC390. 

The motorcycle is taking design cues straight from the RC8 and was developed as a GP racing model for the Moto3 World Championship.

The bike weighs only 130 kg and is built around a 373.2 cc, 4-stroke, EFI, DOHC engine which cranks out a maximum power of 38 hp. It is fed by a 9.5 liters fuel tank and is mounted on a powder coated, tubular steel trellis frame. 

The motorcycle is fitted with a set of high quality suspensions signed by WP Suspension. They include a front WP-USD Ø 43 mm fork and a rear WP-Monoshock. 

The motorcycle’s speed is kept in check by a performance-oriented four piston caliper braking system which uses 300 mm discs up front and 230 discs out back. 

For the moment KTM didn’t reveal the price of its new RC390, but given the excellent pricing of the new D390 we can expect to a decent number.

Buell Superbike - 1125CR Cafe Racer

The overall 2009 Buell line-up consists of six models in three distinct lines: street, adventure and sportbike. Models vary by engine configuration and design intent but continue the melting pot culture that has grown to exemplify the  American  ideal.

Always on the scene, poking our cameras where they belong, this time Fonzie was in the saddle to experience the café racer in action. On the first day of two in Germany we warmed our rubbers on the one-year-old super-smooth pavement of the Spreewaldring testing center just 30 minutes south of Berlin, Germany.
