The Yamaha Stratoliner Deluxe is one of the most powerful and stylish bikes on the market and the 2012 model comes packed with plenty of new features.
Comfort, convenience and style - three words that best describe the 2012 Yamaha Stratoliner Deluxe casual full dress tourer.
For the 2012 model, the new features include a Garmin Zumo 665 GPS that comes with plenty of features, including navigation, Bluetooth, Sirius/XM satellite radio capability, real-time weather and traffic, road condition, and warning, among other things.
In terms of performance, the 2012 Stratoliner Deluxe is powered by a 1,854cc air-cooled, pushrod V-twin engine producing great thrust at any speed. The engine also has a twin-bore downdraft electronic fuel injection that provides optimum engine efficiency and throttle response in the widest possible range of conditions.
As far as the chassis and suspension are concerned, the bike features a long and low aluminum frame that features light handling unlike any other full-size cruiser. Riders can connect iPod ®, mount the air with positive mounted audio controller and let the miles disappear in the distance.
Motorcycle History of Kawasaki Z1 and Z1000

Kawasaki introduced the Z1 motorcycle in 1972. Four years later they introduced the Kz900. The original Kawasaki Z1 was the first series of Japanese motorcycles with the combination of four cylinders, dual overhead cams and 903cc. It was one of the most powerful motorcycles produced up until that time, and set multiple world records.
In 1977 a z1000 ridden by Reg Pridmore became the first Japanese bike to win an AMA Superbike national when it took the victory at Pocono Raceway. In 2003 Kawasaki introduced a completely revamped 30 year anniversary edition of the Z1000. It used a modified engine from the Kawasaki ZX-9R, and was bored out by 2.2mm resulting in bigger displacement, more low-RPM torque, and only a slight power loss of 4bhp from the original ZX9.
In 2004, Kawasaki released the Z1000's smaller brother, the Z750.
In 2007, Kawasaki released a new Z1000. The Z-series since the 1970s until today are also known as the “Z”, “Zed”, and “Z1k”.
In October 2009, Kawasaki unveiled the 2010 Z1000. It received an all new Aluminum frame, Digital Instrument Panel, Bodywork, and a completely new engine. It sports 77 x 56mm bore and stroke figures displacing 1,043cc.
Completely redesigned two years ago, the current Z1000's aggressive bodywork reveals the design team's attention to detail. The aesthetic showcase begins with a low-mount front cowl that slopes back radically, highlighting the Z’s prow and, behind it, an adjustable instrument cluster featuring a multifunction LCD display covered by a trick-looking orange lens.

The Brammo Empulse - The high-performance electric sportbike
The high-performance electric sportbike from Brammo, the Empulse, was revealed more than a year-and-a-half ago, with the promise of production in the first quarter of 2011. Now, finally, Brammo says the Empulse is slated for production in early 2012.
What makes this electric sportbike special is Brammo’s claim that the Empulse 10.0 is capable of reaching 100 mph, as well as boasting a range of 100 miles on a single charge. Those numbers are halved, at most, in even the best current model production electric bikes on offer from other brands.

Most manufacturers of electric motorcycles use a power controller unit that allows the rider to modulate power via a traditional twist throttle. Powered by a 57-hp motor with a liquid-cooled 10-kwh battery, the Empulse claims a charge time of 10 hours from a 110V outlet.
The higher-performance bikes will weigh more because of their higher capacity batteries. Empulse MSRPs are priced in order of performance at US$9,995, US$11,995, and US$13,995, respectively.

BMW’s Top-Selling Bike in the USA - BMW Motorrad S1000RR 2012
BMW Motorrad posted its best sales year ever in 2009 and finished in sales 6.4% over 2010. With the United States being one of BMW's largest motorcycle markets, it comes as no surprise then that the German brand posted strong sales here in the US. Up 7.4% over last year, BMW Motorrad USA continues to weather the rough economy for the Bavarians, which is perhaps unsurprising considering how zie Germans have faired the past few years. What is surprising though is which model topped BMW's sales.
The German company is making only revisions from the original design for the 2012 BMW S1000RR. Modifying the frame, suspension, electronics, and cosmetics of the company’s class-leading superbike, BMW should be in good stead for 2012 considering what the Japanese manufacturers are bringing to the table. We expect the 2012 BMW S1000RR will continue to be a top-seller in 2012, despite the upcoming MV Agusta F4R and Ducati 1199 Panigale.
Though we've already seen many people draw similarities between the three bikes, it should be reminded the S1000RR is priced to compete with the Japanese models in the liter bike class, not the Italian ones.

Hollywood Motorcycle: Suzuki Hayabusa Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce for Pepsi Commerical Edition
This special edition supersports bike was ridden by J.Lo during the filming of a Pepsi commercial featuring her and an equally bootylicious Beyonce.
The commercial was filmed back in 2004 and the Hayabusa has sat idly still since then, but it’s still a Hayabusa - a special edition at that - and a lot of those 100 miles come courtesy of the recently single Jennifer Lopez.
