Sportbike Motorcycle Review: 2012 Ducati Monster 696

What Ducati wants with this naked sportbike is hide all the Monster powers underneath a compact and practical body. For the 2012 model year, Ducati carefully redesigned and redeveloped all components in order to provide less weight and more power.

Recognize the swingarm styling? That is because the 2012 Monster 696 sportbike takes the MotoGP-style swingarm which is constructed from chill-cast aluminum. According to totalmotorcycle.com, the gravity cast is heat treated so the components get the best mechanical characteristics and at the same time, reduced the final weight for improved handling.

This part always gets us chill because we all know how powerful the Ducati line-up is, right? For the 2012 Ducati Monster 696, this sportbike is powered by L-Twin cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve for every cylinder Desmodromic with 696cc displacement engine. Ducati assigns Siemens to handle the electronic fuel injection with 2 aluminum mufflers exhaust. Just like other Ducati’s bikes, the transmission is in 6-speed.

One of the World's Smallest Scooter Bike: HONDA MOTOCOMPO - around US$800

The Honda Motocompo can transform by collapsing its handlebars into the seat. After that, it was small enough to be picked up by one person and fit snugly in the rear cargo area, with enough room left for a saxophone, a boombox, and all your tennis equipment.

Of course, the City may not be very nimble all loaded down. As for the Motocompo, it had a 49cc two-stroke good for a top speed of about 30mph. Maybe Honda should sell the new Fit with a scooter — you know, since everyone's talking about gas prices and stuff. That was pricing for around US$800 in Japan!

HD Negative Comments from a rider: 2012 Harley-Davidson Road King

In this year of 2012, the Harley Davidson Road King draws a lot of attention. Most parts are made of metal. Riding on the highway is very comfortable. It has plenty of torque. Brakes are good for normal and mildly sprited riding. Women say the back seat is comfortable. The paint, fit and finish is as good or better than other brands.

A rider called Kotang said in his google blog:

"NOW, LET ME TELL YOU WHY I SOLD THE ROAD KING AFTER 10 MONTHS AND 5500 MILES. The HD comes with a cable operated clutch, Hydraulic clutch should be standard. Shifting the transmission is terrible. HD'S service manager told me to shift like I was driving a tractor. I could relate to that analogy. I finaly mastered shifting the HD. Nose dive on the HD is as bad as it gets. You learn to adjust. I normally set the suspension so the front and rear will compress equally. Not on a HD, the front suspension and the rear suspension will not work together, regardless of the settings. The dealer service was worse than any dealer I have bought from in the past. If you want a antique motorcycle that is manufactured new, HD has plenty of them."

Sexy Kawasaki Biker Girl !!!

2012 New Honda Motocompo Scooter much like a Apple iPhone Concept

Honda Motor in Japan plans to revive the very model of the original scooter eighties of the last century - Honda Motocompo.

The original Honda Motocompo appeared 30 years ago. It was launched in 1981 and was designed specifically so as to climb into the trunk of a new car model of Honda Fit – the smallest car brand.

Its handles and seat is so that we obtain a suitcase on wheels, which is ideally included in the trunk of the car.

The Honda was calculated on the great popularity of these devices, expecting to sell up to ten thousand pieces per month.

The new version looks much serious. It is frankly more than the original Motocompo. The whole idea of the principle remains the same – all the most well-knit, and all surfaces as smooth. The instrument panel is built into a box like the iPhone, which also made removable.

The World's Most Advanced Electric Superbike

Even though this motorcycle looks like one of Tom Cruise's many toys in the "Mission Impossible" movies, this bike is a real-life bad ass electric machine: and now it's a first place winner in the world's toughest motorcycle race.

The 2010 MotoCzysz E1pc won the Isle of Man TT Zero electric motorcycle race in 2010, lapping the United Kingdom island at a record 96.820 mph, just shy of the 100 mph goal the team was aiming for .

The incredibly advanced technology used to create this electric super racer could not only change the world of racing bikes, but also how all electric vehicles are developed.

Developed by a tiny Oregonian company, the E1pc racing bike packs 10 times the battery power of a Toyota Prius and reached a top speed of 140 mph in a practice run. The world's fastest motorcycle, BMW's S1000 RR, a gas-powered superbike, was clocked at 194.6 mph in May.

"The batteries (on the E1pc) are huge, visually dominating the bike and occupying the space traditionally reserved for an internal combustion engine. There are 10 individual lithium polymer cells that each weigh 19.5 Lbs and were hand-assembled by a company that typically builds batteries for NASA.

2012 Motorcycle Superbike Review: KTM 1190 RC8 R

The KTM 1190 RC8R is a totally street legal bike that has the monster 1190cc four-stroke engine that makes it run superbly. The ignition system is a contactless, controlled, fully electronic ignition system with digital ignition timing adjustment.

Built off a 2-cylinder 4-stroke V 75° with 1195 cc, it has six gears with dog clutch and liquid cooling. The frame is chromium-molybdenum trellis with a powder coat, the subframe aluminum, the rear suspension is a WP-monoshock and the brake system all around is Brembo at the top end.

A strictly limited number of bikes for those who want to use their 1190 RC8 R exclusively on the racetrack. Factory-homologated for Superstock and built to be ´ready to race´ by the KTM Racing Division, with all the goodies from the KTM PowerParts range that make the potential for race success even greater.
