GAMAX SCOOTER - SPILLO SPORTI

Gamax Spillo is a 49 cc scooter that seems to sell mainly online at the moment - the ideal leisure and commuter scooter.

Of course there are lots of 50cc scooters on the market, but Spillo got my attention because of its size: at only 53kg and compact dimensions it seems light and small enough to be pulled up the steps and kept inside the house - something that cannot be said for others. So Small and Convenient. It is good for traveling in a small town and narrow street. A new GAMAX Spillo is selling for only US$500-600 online too! Quite affordable.

King of Motorcycle Helmet - Arai RX-7 GP

Arai helmets are not the best helmet on the market right now, compared with more functional helmets, however, Arai RX-7 helmets are definitely the king of helmet. Just like top-quality Louis Vuitton or Hermes brands, the best bags, shoes, and pants are not theirs, but people love them. I love Arai too.

Arai took this technology and incorporated it into a brand new helmet that is a completely new design. RX-7 GP is a completely new, developed to be the ultimate racing helmet.

Just take one look at it and you know it is different. Readily recognizable by the adjustable Air Wing spoiler on the back.

The all-new Arai RX-7 GP is the most extensive race tested helmet ever. This successor to the legendary RX-7 Corsair, has been developed in actual MotoGP and Grand Prix races. Tested at high speeds on the straights of international racetracks. Designed for and used by winning professional riders. The result is the stunning new RX-7 GP with an adjustable Air Wing that significantly reduces buffeting and drag when the riders emerge from a full tuck when braking from high speeds, enhancing concentration. At the same time the Air Wing increases the top speed thanks to the improved aerodynamic properties of the new RX-7 GP.

The RX-7 GP benefits from a wider visor aperture that offers more view through the bends, giving you every time that split-second advantage accelerating out of corners.

The RX-7 GP is the very first motorcycle helmet offering the ‘'Peripherally Belted'' SNC outer shell construction, that surpasses even the incredible strength and stiffness of the Corsair shell.

Personally, I believe that RX7 is one of the best helmets on the market right now for bike racing, but it is more suitable to Asian head, as i feel. I prefer to have a lighter but bigger shell helmet.

UK Triumph produces a watch maker "TAG Heuer" Limited Ed - Bonnevilles

On Nov 2009, British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, and Swiss watch manufacturer, TAG Heuer, have collaborated to create a special, one-of-a-kind “Bonneville Heuer” Triumph motorcycle. I think this is an absolutely beautiful combination in Europe!

The association between Triumph and TAG Heuer comes as a result of their common values and the legacy of Steve McQueen, who was famously linked to both brands.

The TAG Heuer Bonneville features a unique blue-and-orange paint scheme that was inspired by the Porsche sports car driven by Steve McQueen’s character in the movie Le Mans (1971). McQueen wore a TAG Heuer Monaco watch in the movie, and today TAG Heuer is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of that watch.

Review: Harley Davidson Sportster XR1200

Harley-Davidson had never before launched a new motorcycle exclusively first in Europe. In Valencia, Spain, Harley launched the XR1200 in a big way.

The Harley-Davidson XR1200 is at once fun and surprisingly practical, a hot rod motorcycle that is right at home as a back-road burner and easily pulls double duty as a daily commuter or for a quick run across town.

XR1200 is a very capable blend providing daily-driver practicality and back-road fun in a unique and attention-getting package.

Inspired by the XR-750—the American dirt track racing motorcycle that dominates AMA flat-track competition—the new XR1200 features design elements that provide up-to-date street handling and performance along with the classic look, sound and feel that Harley-Davidson fans have come to expect.

The XR1200 is Harley-Davidson's new 'hot rod' standard motorcycle. Developed for Europe and first launched in European markets in April 2008, the XR1200 is now available stateside. Priced starting at
US$10,799 in USA now. Available in Vivid Black, Pewter Denim, and Mirage Orange Pearl paint.

US - Motorcycle Fatalities Drop in 2009

A recent report indicates that motorcycling fatalities in the U.S.A. dropped by at least 10 percent in 2009, which is the first decline in 12 years, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) reports. Based on preliminary data, the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), which represents the state highway safety offices nationwide, projects that motorcycling deaths declined from 5,290 in 2008 to 4,762 or fewer in 2009. The projection is based on data collected from the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

2,294 motorcyclists were killed in 1998, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which gathers its data from the same sources as the GHSA. That number increased steadily each year, reaching 5,290 in 2008.

The reasons for the decline in motorcycle fatalities in 2009 is not known, but worsening economic conditions causing fewer new riders, fewer miles ridden and casual riders selling their motorcycles could be supporting factors.

Can-Am Spyder RT - three wheeled motorcycle

The Can-Am Spyder RS roadster is the original three-wheeled creation. But because it was the only “reverse trike” on the road, it simply became known as the “Spyder.” Now you’ll have different models to refer to, and the letters “RT” won’t just refer to the BMW anymore.

Further muddying the waters, the 2010 Spyder RT will come in a choice of three model-dependent color schemes, three feature-based models and two transmission choices. Colors include Full Moon Silver, Orbital Blue and Timeless Black, in either manual transmission (SM5) or semi-automatic (SE5), and three model distinctions – the RT ($20,999), RT Audio & Convenience ($22,999) and RT-S ($24,999).

Reviews: YAMAHA XV1300A MIDNIGHT STAR 2010

The Midnight Star 1300 knows which rules of the cruiser bible to break and which to obey. The 60-degree V-twin has the fins of an air-cooled cruiser, but is in fact a hi-tech, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected eight-valve engine. This unique machine fuses classic cruiser character with cutting-edge technology and class-defining performance to deliver an addictive kick of excitement out on the open road or just parked up on the street.

This cruiser style doesn’t have to mean laid-back horsepower. Its engine features forged pistons, 4-valve heads and shortstroke con-rods, so every time you hit the throttle you feel a knockout, low-down punch that turns into serious top-end power.

But its power that comes with control and comfort. Twin balancers tune out all the unwanted vibrations that can make long journeys wearing, but allow the feel-good power pulses that you ride for in the first place.

And it all comes in a package of classic 1930s-inspired styling, with a tight body and low silhouette that’s old-school with a radical new twist.

New Demi-Jet Motorcycle Helmet by Masei

Masei 822 "Demi-Jet" Helmet shown here is another addition to the revived Masei lineup. They are DOT approved. Also, this masei has neutral fit that should fit a majority of owner head shapes.

The helmet includes several colors and the 822 prices range from about US$45.00 for the solids to $55.00 for the graphics - half the price of similar Jet helmet offered by Taiwanese makers. Additionally, this Masei Demi-Jet comes with internal sunvisor.

The internal shape is neutral and tends towards round. Anyone moving to a Jet-styled helmet for the first time from a full-face or flip-up will probably need an adjustment period.

Helmet D-Ring is the strongest buckle but not so convenient...

The tried-and-true "D-ring" attachment system is widely used, very reliable and is used on every racing helmet. All Snell helmets must be with D-ring buckle. Other "quick release" systems have been developed and provided convenience in easy-adjusting, but like trying to build a better mousetrap, none have improved on this basic attachment system.

A D-ring is infinitely adjustable and there are no springs to wear out or plastic and metal latches to break. All of the quick release mechanisms we've tried make it very hard to adjust the tightness of the helmet straps. Accessory quick release latches that are user installed should also be avoided, because they can add too much length to the helmet's strap, making it difficult to adjust correctly.
