Motocross Review: 2012 KTM 250 EXC

KTM takes motorcycle racing very seriously and its models are all built to win. The Austrian manufacturer is best known for producing race-winning and class-dominating off-road motorcycles.

Whether in the Extreme Enduro or the E2 World Championship, the KTM 250 EXC is the ultimate victory machine. Built with the ideal combination of performance and weight, the serial Erzberg winner is the enduro to beat when the going gets really tough. Improved performance mounted in a completely revamped chassis, with a new frame, upgrades the lightest enduro in the E2 class even further.

The ideal combination of the playful handling of a 125 and the engine power of a 250cc enduro. With even more performance than before and a completely revamped chassis, the 250 EXC satisfies these requirements even better than ever.

Its new, lighter, cast aluminium swingarm accommodates the shock absorber more centrally, in order to load the swing arms more evenly.

Also, this KTM 250 EXC is equipped with the latest WP upside-down fork with wider adjustment ranges and a new setting. The sensitive responsiveness and outstanding damping of the open-cartridge fork with 48 mm (1.89 in) outer tubes are a perfect complement for the 250 EXC's playful handling and precision.
