Masei 201 Snowmobile Helmet

Snowmobile helmets come in a variety of styles. The most popular is the full face snowmobile helmet. This type of helmet covers your entire head. They have a flip up shield you look through and a breath box that is usually removable. The breath box helps to reduce fogging of the shield.

Masei 201 Snowmobile Helmets is the modular snowmobile helmet with an oxygen breathing mask. This style of helmet features a front section that flips up. They will be released next year's (2011) Feb and the pricing is set for US$79 in the market.

Yamaha Electric ECO Motorcycle Scooter - EC-03

Yamaha Motor Co said Wednesday it will start selling its "EC-03" electric motorcycle on Sept 2010.

The company projects annual sales of 10 million units of the model, priced at 252,000 yen (approx US$2800). This price is a bit higher than my expectation. In China, the similar electric bike is selling for US$150-250. Anyway, this bike is scheduled to be released in Taiwan and Europe begining next year, the company said.

As Honda Motor Co. plans to begin leasing its new electric motorcycle to domestic companies and other entities in December, eco-friendly motorcycles could become widely used.

According to Yamaha, the EC-03 model is powered by lithium-ion batteries and does not emit carbon dioxide. As the size of its body is nearly the same as a 50cc scooter, the model will cater to people with 50cc motorcycle driver's licenses.

The EC-03 is equipped with a plug-in recharging system that enables customers to charge it via household electrical outlets. It can run 43 kilometers after being charged for about six hours.

Acabion GTBO 55 - Fastest Motorcycle Up to "280mph" like Airplane

Can you imagine driving from Atlanta, Ga. to New York City in just over two and a half hours? No police cops can even catch you up in highway.

You're probably thinking you can't even fly between the two cities in under three hours. With all the airport transfers and walking through baggage claim and dealing with security, you'd be lucky to make it in five hours.

This super German motorcycle is capable of holding 2 persons andt’s powered by a 700 hp turbocharged engine which given the weight of the bike results in a power to weight ratio of 0.51kg per horsepower. Acabion claims this thing is actually street legal.

This Acabion GTBO ‘70′ model can go from 0 to 258 mph in about 19 seconds. And it has a top speed of 265 mph at 200 hp with a governor.

The company only plans to build a total of 26 vehicles from 2007-2011. It costs US$720,000. Who will buy a motorcycle that can not be used on the street? at that price.

Comments:Abicon says fuel consumption at 200 km/h is three times lower in comparison to a compact diesel car and at 400 km/h it is 10 times lower compared to a supersportscar. Even at 600 km/h the Acabion is still efficient, just that there is nothing comparable around on todays roads. An electric power system of 3 KW is used for short-range and slow operation like parking, private terrain, etc.

Fiberglass Motorcycle Helmet Making Method By Luusama

Last week, I visited our factory in China with few fiberglass production machine shown in pictures. Each day, each machine can make around 20 fiberglass helmet, if counting 8 working hours. Not as fast as ABS plastics helmet (1 minute 1 helmet)

Information of making a fiberglass helmet in production.

(a) providing a fiberglass sheeting;
(b) mixing course ceramic particles into a thermoset resin;
(c) impregnating the resin/ceramic particle mixture into sheeting;
(d) molding the impregnated sheeting into a shape of a protective helmet;
(e) curing the resin mixture impregnated into the sheeting.

The ceramic particles are preferably created by chopping a ceramic material. The presence of the ceramic particles in the composite helmet reduces the heat reflectance of the helmet. Finally, because the ceramic particles are course, they will not all flow to “low spots” in the helmet during the curing process. The course ceramic particles will remain entangled with, and caught on the fibers of the sheeting during the curing process.

Arai & Shoei Helmet Main Retail Stores in Tokyo

For Arai & Shoei Helmet fans, the best place for them to shop those brand helmets is in Tokyo North Ueno area (上野) with many motorcycle accessories stores. When you get off the JR Ueno Station (山手線上野站), stay on the left side of the station and walk around 10-15 minutes, you will see many motorcycle accessories stores there under the highway. They sell helmets, gloves, jackets, clothings, shoes, and other accessories.

There are few rental stores too. For foreigners, please go to CSC store in that area. Foreign licenses are ok too. Daily rentals are around US$120-200. Considerably, that is not so cheap. Anyway, they speak Japanese only in store.

2009 Honda Monkey Motorcycle Bike FI for Honda 40th Anniversity

HONDA commemorates the 40th anniversary of the“monkey” with the limited edition 40th anniversary model. In 2009, Honda launches a whole new monkey complete with fuel injection, catalytic converter, and many other minor changes.

This 50cc monkey has a update to the tank design, which some people say resembles their first generation. No doubt the new design was also made specifically to accommodate fuel delivery to the FI system. I’m sure most of the new features will through tuners through a loop as it will take some time for aftermarket companies to catch up. However for the collectors of the world an all new Monkey must be pretty exciting.

This is retailing for US$700-US$800.00 online.

Suzuki Road Naked Monster - B-King 2010

The B-King is a naked bike manufactured by Suzuki, that was unveiled in 2007. It uses the same 1,340 cc engine that is fitted to the Hayabusa. Add in cutting edge chassis and suspension systems, crazy acceleration and precise handling, and you've got yourself a bike that definitely rivals that bastard Sideways.

However, due to the economic and financial crisis at the same year, its sales charts have disappointed Suzuki and the project represents too much of an investment for them to simply discontinue it, so the solution is to make it more attractive for potential buyers. That goal appears to be accomplished on the 2010 model year, which gets a nice blue/white color scheme and 1970s style gold rims.

This is the only bit of information about the 1300cc Japanese naked, but the bike appears to be unchanged apart from that. Sure, you all could have lived with shorter silencers, but Suzuki is keen on the rocket-launcher ones, so that’s what you’ll keep on getting. Its pricing is approximately US$13,000.

Brammo Enertia electric motorcycle - ECO Motorcycle!

Brammo is an electric vehicle company, based in Ashland, Oregon, United States. Its first production electric motorcycle, the Enertia, is assembled there and is selling online via the company's website for only US$7995.

Brammo's experience with building supercars, coupled with its research of electric drivetrains and then-current battery technology led to the belief that with the power to weight and energy density ratio of lithium batteries, an EV was possible, but that the vehicle's weight was a crucial concern. The decision was made to produce a lighter motorcycle.

Brammo focused on designing and building the Enertia powercycle prototype. After completing the prototype, the company met with investors and determined that Brammo Motorsports needed to become Brammo, Inc., and that it would thereafter focus fully on electric vehicles.

Its top speed can go up to 50mph. Not so bad, considering it as a powerful electric motorcycle. Those ones selling in China can go up to 20mph at the most on the street. Full recharge time from a 110 volt outlet is 3 hours. Direct chain drive with no clutch, just twist and go. It weighs just 275 pounds.

2010 Honda CB1100 - Café-racer concept

Honda CB1100 revealed an unseen café-racer concept this year. It is by far the most faithful of any attempt to recreate the charm of the 70s. The new CB1100 has up until now only been sold in Japan.

The only real nuances that stand out are a limited tank range and its US$14,990 price point. As I feel, its pricing is set a bit too high.

Returning 6 litres per 100km economy the 14.6 litre fuel cell is only good for a 240km range to empty. A fuel gauge is thankfully provided so you can keep an eye on things and a low fuel warning flashes when there is 3.5 litres remaining.

Honda CB1100

Engine – 1140cc, liquid-cooled four-stroke, in-line four
Bore x Stroke – 73.5x67.2mm
Transmission – Five speed, chain drive
Seat Height – 775mm
Length x Width x Height – 2195 x 835 x 1130mm
Wheelbase – 1490mm
Wet Weight – 247kg Fuel Capacity – 14.6 Litres
Average Consumption on test – 6 litres per 100km Range – 240km
Warranty – Two years
Price – Expect to pay US$14,990 plus on road costs

Special Review - CR&S DUU Concept Motorcycle

The CR&S "DUU" was unveiled at the EICMA Milano International Bike Show in November 2009. The DUU is a naked, two-seater premium motorcycle with a modular layout. Two western motorcycle cultures have been synthesized inside the "DUU": a sporty European rolling chassis powered by a muscular American V-twin.

The CR&S DUU is equipped with the new S&S "X-Wedge" engine with a capacity of 1916cc. The X-Wedge is a new engine in the American tradition of big twins, which meets the latest emission and noise standards, but with a special character and high performance.

CR&S expects to deliver the first DUU in Europe by 2011. It will be selling for US$30,000, with a production volume of a few dozen units per year. Each one will be hand-made one at a time. Still acceptable and affordable pricing!

Peraves MonoTracer - The Cabin Cycle Jet Bike

Peraves Monotracer? Not so many people heard of this company before.

Felix Wagner is the project-leader and Tobias Wülser is the designer. Felix' father Arnold Wagner invented the first "Ecomobile" about 30 years ago and launched the company Peraves.

But if you’re interested in the E-Tracer already, turns out they are already being manufactured and sold. It seems that the waiting list is about a year long, and the E-Tracer will cost you around €79,350 (or around US$107,800 at today’s exchange rates).

It’s 130hp BMW engine and low drag can boost it from zero to 60 in about 5.7 seconds, and top it out at 155 mph, which, granted, is pretty cool.
